Why, yes it can! Some people worry that due to the modular nature of these kayaks, they would somehow come apart if you rolled, accidentally or on purpose, in the water. However, due to their ingenious lock-together design, combined with the patented Snap-Tap system, there is no need for concern. You really can use this kayak just as you would a 1-piece traditional kayak. Also definitely worth a watch, this video by Bryan Mitchell of GreenWave Paddling (it's an oldie but a goldie) shows the technique of rolling a Martini and also an unassisted cowboy re-entry. Don't be afraid to get out there in your modular and practice your safety techniques!
